Working with Energy4All and Nadara
In order to purchase a stake in the Millennium Wind Farm we worked closely with two organisations - Energy4All, who specialise in community ownership of renewable energy, and Nadara (formerly Falck Renewables), the developer who owns the Millennium Wind Farm and who has successfully partnered on several shared ownership schemes across Scotland.
Energy4All
Energy4All was established by Baywind Co-op, the first co-operatively owned wind project in the UK, on a not-for-profit basis in 2002 for the sole purpose of facilitating the ownership and operation of renewable energy projects by local or community-based co-operatives.
Energy4All has dedicated development staff working throughout the UK, utilising key partnerships to promote community renewables. Energy4All is owned by the co-ops that make up it's membership - now more than 30 across the UK, covering wind power, rooftop and ground mount solar PV, hydropower and district heating.

Nadara
Nadara (formerly Falck Renewables Wind Limited, then Renantis) have worked in partnership with Energy4All to promote community owned schemes across Scotland. The Great Glen Energy Co-op has part-ownership in the Millennium Wind Farm, which was developed by Falck Renewables and is now operated by Nadara.
Nadara has offices in Inverness, Edinburgh and London. They are continuing to develop onshore wind farms in the UK, as well as exploring offshore wind.
Nadara has sole responsibility for being the wind farm owner and operator. The partnership offers a vertically integrated approach to the development, construction, and operation of wind farms. The necessary resources and expertise to successfully complete a project are internal to the partnership.
