The Millennium Wind Farm is the UK’s highest wind farm and can’t really be seen close up without a long long hike – 4+ miles. There’s also development activity on the site which currently excludes visits by the public. If anyone would like to view the site there are various vantage points along the Great Glen, particularly South of Fort Augustus where it can be seen from the main road.
Site visits can be organised subject to demand and upon the site owners approval. Please email info@greatglen.coop to register an interest in visiting the site.
