Glen Urquhart Men’s Shed

£5,000 To fund equipment for a project to provide kindling from waste wood to vulnerable households and sell kindling locally for group funds.

Craig MacDonald: “Thanks to Foundation Scotland’s Great Glen Fund we were able to realise our Community Kindling Enterprise project in full. This has allowed us to generate a sustainable source of income whilst keeping our members active. The application process was straightforward and Marion kept us right and was always willing to answer any questions we had. I’d once again like to thank Foundation Scotland for their continued support – which is being felt throughout Glen Urquhart – To date we have sold over 110 bags and kept our promise to donate 1/4 to the local community. We are currently stockpiling for the coming winter – buy a yearly subscription or individual bags at our website: https://glenshed.square.site/s/shop
If you would like to get involved with the Glen Urquhart Mens Shed, we are open Tuesdays 10:00 – 14:00 and Wednesdays 19:30 – 21:00. A ladies session runs 14:00 – 16:00.”
